BEFORE YOU START
Confirm the following before installation ( Very important ):
Wi-Fi SIGNAL
You must have a strong, 2.4GHZ Wi-Fi signal in your garage that uses WPA or WPA2 security.
SAFETY WARNING
Before installation,please turn off the power of the garage door opener to reduce the risk of injury.
DOOR TYPE
Your garage door must be a sectional or tilt garage door.
COMPATIBILITY
Make sure that your garage door opener is compatible with our product first. We have compatible models list, contact with us to get it to check.
You can also check it by yourself as following steps:
1. Make sure your garage door has a wall-mounted button, find the terminals which connect to your wall-mounted button.
2. Take a wire with both ends stripped or a pliers to put each end to the same terminals as the wall button wires are terminated to (See the figure below). By doing so, if your door activates, then your door opener is compatible with our device. If the door does not activate, then the opener is not compatible by default.

WI-FI INDICATOR LED STATE

Move the sensor 90 degrees to connect the sensor to the controller,once the they are connected, the led indicator will be solid green.
Note:
Pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button will reset the Wi-Fi configuration when the led indicator is green.
Pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button will switch the Wi-Fi configuration mode when the led indicator is red.
How to clear the paring between the sensor and controller?
1. Confirm the led indicator is solid green.
2. Pressing and holding the paring button for 10 seconds until it blinks blue that means the paring was cleared.
BEFORE INSTALLATION check the sensor is working.
Open the Smart life app and select the Garage door opener. Move the sensor 90 degrees and after approx 10-15 seconds check if the door changes to open. Move the sensor again 90 degrees and after approx 10–15 seconds check if the door changes to closed. Now it is paired and the sensor is working correctly you can proceed to installation.
1.Download Smart Life app for free
Download the "Smart life" app from Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
2.Register Smart Life app
Open Smart Life app,For new users, register a new account or if existing user, login with your user name and password.
3. Add Smart garage door controller to Smart Life app(Configure Wi-Fi)
1. Plug in the Smart controller. The LED indicator light flashes green then red and blinks rapidly. If the LED indicator light is not blinking then you need to reset the device to pairing mode by pressing and holding the pairing button for 5 seconds. When it is RED flashing rapidly, it is ready to pair with the Smart Life App.
2. Open the Smart Life App, tap ‘Add Device’ (if empty room) or ‘+’ to add your Smart garage door controller
3. Select “Electrician” -> “Garage Door Opener”;
4. Enter your home Wi-Fi password, then click “next”, connection will now begin.
5. Once connected you will get a menu‘Added successfully’ and the led indicator is flashing blue (See right figure). You can click on the pen to change the device name then press ‘Done’.
4. Pair sensor with controller
BEFORE INSTALLATION SENSOR, Please check if the sensor is working or not. Open the Smart Life app and select the Garage door opener.
1. Confirm the Led indicator is flashing blue before paring. Move the sensor 90 degrees, the led indicator will be solid green.
2. Move the sensor 90 degrees and after approx 15-20 seconds, the app should show the correct state according to the direction of the door sensor. See the right figure:
Note:
· When device is online, it can be controlled.
· When device is offline, it displays "Offline" and cannot be remotely powered on.
· The garage door opener does not support 5GHz networks, ensure your Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz. If the sensor is not working properly or you cannot connect the controller to the Smart Life app, please contact with us for troubleshooting and for full instructions.
5.Installation
Note:
Please power off your garage door opener before install the device.
1. Connect controller to your garage door opener through the cable
1) Connect the cables of the controller to your garage door opener terminals which 8should be connected to the wall button; If you have installed a wall button, please twist them together
2. Install Door Sensor
1) Close your garage door.
2) Clean the area on your garage door where the sensor is to be installed – railing on the inside, top panel of the garage door.
3) Remove the double-sided tape and press into place.
Note:
The door sensor will only work if mounted to the top panel of your garage door. Any other placement will cause incorrect state
6. Test
Open or close the garage door for 3 to 5 times, and check the state on your app
1. How to use automated scenes?
There are two setting options for you to set automated scenes.
1) One option is that add the device to "condition" list to trigger your other smart device.
2) Another option is that add the device to "action" list to be triggered by other condition.
How to add the device to "Condition" list?

How to set Amazon Echo to control your Smart Wireless Garage Door Opener?
Before using Echo to control your device, make sure you meet the following conditions.
· An Echo device, including Echo, Echo Tap, or Echo Dot.
· An Amazon account.
· “Smart life” app and a related account. Make sure you have added Smart Wireless Garage Door Opener to “Smart life” application successfully and you have added an Alexa device to the Amazon Alexa application.
Note:
You will need to have set up an Alexa account prior to linking your smart life device.
1. Select “Menu” and then “Skills”.
2. Search for the app and enable it.
3. Log into your smart life account with your email address or mobile number.
4. Select “Discover Devices” and the app will begin searching.
5. When successfully linked, you will see a list of connected our devices. You can now control your devices through Alexa with your voice. Use the voice commands:
· “Alexa, Turn on (---)” OR “Alexa, Turn off (---)”
Note:
“---” is the device name. It is suggested that you rename the device to a simple but uncommon name.
1. In the “Home Control” screen, select the icon to set up device;
2. Select “set up device” to add new device, then select “works with Google”;
3. A list will appear showing actions and a search function to access more apps: from here, install the smart life app.
4. Log into your smart life account with your email address or mobile number.
5. Once linked, it will show the devices linked to your account: you can assign them to rooms. You will be prompted to authorize apps to sync.
6. Click “Done” and then it will give you a list of commands available.
7. When successfully linked, you will see it on your “Home Control” screen at the bottom of the app screen. You can now control your devices through Google Home.
Voice command:
“Ok Google, open (---)” Or “Ok Google, close (---)”. If the voice command above doesn’t work, please try “Ok Google, turn on (---)” OR “Ok Google, turn off (---)”.

4. Select “Launch Tap-to-run”.
5. Select the device you want to control.
6. Select “Control the garage door”.
7. Select the action, “Open” Or “Close” then click “save”.

9. Click “Save”.
10. Click “Add to Siri”.
11. Click “Add to Siri”.
12. Click “When i say” (see left picture ) to create your own voice command to control your garage door by Siri.
13. Click “Add to Siri” to finish the setting.
14. Now you can talk with Siri to control your garage door.
You can control your garage door by Geo-fence. Before we start to setup, you have to enable location permission on your phone settings first.
1. Select “Smart”.
2. Select“Automation”.
3. Click “+” at the right corner.
4.Select “When location changes”.
5. Select “Leave” or “Arrive” to control your garage door.
6. Enter the right location(6-1) of your garage door, or locate automatically by clicking location icon(6-2)
7. Select “Run the device”.
8. Select the device you want to control.
9. Select “Control the garage door”.
10. Select the action, “Open” Or “Close”, then click “save”.
11. Click “Next” to continue.
12. Click “Save”.
13. It shows as left picture after saving.
1.Garage door does not open or close from the app, but it works normally from the wall-mounted garage door opener and remote control.
1. Make sure that your internet is working.
2. Make sure that the controller’s led indicator is solid green (if the LED is not solid green, the controller is not connected to Wi-Fi).
3. Make sure that the motor control cable is connected to the garage motor terminal securely. Inspect the cable for any sign of cuts or damage and replace if needed.
4. Make sure that the motor control cable is connected securely to the controller.
5. Restart the app.
2.The controller will not connect to my Wi-Fi network.
1. Connect your mobile phone to the same Wi-Fi network that you want to use, then hold your mobile phone near the controller. Check your Wi-Fi status on your mobile phone. If the signal strength is weak, the connection may fail. To improve your Wi-Fi signal, you can move the router closer to the garage or install a Wi-Fi extender midway between the controller and your Wi-Fi router.
2. Make sure that you are using a 2.4GHz network. Some routers have only their 5GHz network on by default. Use your router’s setup process to enable the 2.4GHz network.
3. Make sure that the security option on your router is set to WPA/WPA2.
4. Move the controller inside your home close to your Wi-Fi router and set up its Wi-Fi there, then move it back to the garage and check to see if Wi-Fi is re-established. If green LED blinks after a minute from power-up, the Wi-Fi signal in the garage is weak and will need a Wi-Fi extender.
5. If you are using the controller in a detached garage, you will need to install a Wi-Fi extender to boost the signal in the garage.
6. If the LED indicator blinks green, it means that wrong password or internet error,please check.

3.The app operated the door, but it does not show the door status correctly.
1. Make sure that the sensor is mounted to the door securely. The position is very important.
2. Re-pair the sensor with controller, if the sensor can be re-paired with the controller,it means the sensor is working, otherwise please take out of the sensor, open the shell to replace the battery
3. In low temperature environment(lower than -10℃), the battery of the sensor may not work.The battery model of the sensor is CR2450.
